According to Celebraty Net Worth 50 Cent was born Curtis James Jackson III on July 6, 1975, in Queens, New York City. He was raised in the South Jamaica neighborhood by his mother, Sabrina, who was a drug dealer. She died when Jackson was just eight years old. 50 Cent was then raised by his grandmother.

At age 12, he began dealing narcotics after school. In 10th grade, he was arrested when he was caught by metal detectors at his high school attempting to bring in guns and drug money.
